An ultra-compact sub-bass system designed for use in stereo music or film sound systems where exceptional low frequency output and extension is desired. Housed in an sealed, cube-shaped enclosure incorporating REL’s unique Zero-Q loading system, the Q-108E achieves an impressive in-room response of 23Hz at –6dB!
Although exceedingly small in size and mass, the REL Q-108E is no lightweight when it comes to deep bass performance. Featuring a downward firing, long-throw 8” steel basket driver with a vented pole-piece coupled to a true 100W discrete, direct-coupled MOSFET power amplifier, the Q-108E delivers ample low frequency output that belies its small physical size. Designed for use singly or in pairs, the Q-108E is the perfect addition to your stereo, home theater or computer multimedia speaker system.
As with other more costly REL sub-bass systems, the Q-108E features a unique ABC® filtering circuit that provides total control over phase, 0°/180° and low-level input crossover settings and in/out functions. Neutrik Speakon high-level input and dual RCA line-level inputs, each with an individually adjustable volume control make possible the simultaneous connection and blending of both high and low-level signals. Only with this unprecedented level of adjustability can optimized in-room bass response and seamless system integration be achieved. In addition, REL’s audibly transparent Set-Safe® circuitry protects the Q-108E’s driver from damage during any type of signal overload conditions.
REL Acoustics’ obsession with quality is legendary. All REL sub-bass systems, from the Q-108 to the reference Studio III, are handcrafted using the finest parts and are built to the highest of standards of construction to deliver a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
