The TP160BDP-CH is a unique speaker with extraordinary engineering. As a true home theatre surround loudspeaker, they can be placed anywhere in the room and still provide brilliant ubiquitous sound because of a bipole/dipole design. It is the perfect complement to any DCM home theatre because it allows the speaker's phasing to be set according to a room's specific acoustics and reflected sound.
With a 6.5" woofer and a passive radiator offset, the TP160BDP-CH has a naturally wide dispersion. For longer spacious rooms, set to bipole and keep the phasing in phase for even distribution with very little reflective sound. For smaller rooms and unique speaker positioning, set to dipole so the woofer and the passive radiator are out-of-phase from each other to take advantage of the room's natural reflective sound and create accurate surround sound. This design gives new meaning to real world tuning as the TP160BDP-CH have amazing sonic reproduction from many locations.
